We have issued an award to the Main Bureau of Health / Dr. Andrew E. Smith for information relevant to data gaps identified in EPA's recent RfD derivation for methylmercury and to evaluate the resulting conclusion with regard to setting of fish consumption advisories for methylmercury by state health and environmental departments. Specific objectives of this work are to update reviews of the scientific literature regarding methylmercury related effects on non-developmental endpoints such as cardiovascular, immunotoxicity, and long-term sequelae and ageing related effects, including quantitative BMD analysis of selected health effects.
