The dsl modem should autosense annex a or annex b
Pppoe, pppoa and transparent briding is recommended.
It should have the common voip codecs and should be able to handle sip/h323
2 fxs and 1 fxo port. This ports shall have small pabx features like internal calltransfer babyphone and internal pabx calls.
1 wan port to switch on / off the dsl modem( act like a cablemodem )
2 ethernetport for LAN
Internal router with dhcp, nat, firewall etc
1 USB port
Traffic shaping to guarantee the voice quality is a must.
