Architect / Engineer (A/E ) Services including all investigation, design surveys, verification of as-built conditions, construction drawings, cost estimates, phasing and estimated construction time required for a fully developed set of construction documents for renovation of the 9th floor, inclusive of Quadrants 9A, 9B, and 9C. The objective of this project will be to provide for the total demolition and rebuild of the current inpatient acute mental health ward. It is comprised of approximately 18,000 gross square feet of space. The area will be reconstructed to house the Post Traumatic Stree Disorder ( PTSD ) Residential Unit, other PTSD ambulatory programs and all of Ambulatory Mental Health. The A/E design team will be comprised as a minimum of the services of a licensed architect, licensed mechanical / electrical engineer, licensed interior designer, and a telephone / data communication design expert.
The Construction Budget Range for this project is $1,000,000.00 to $3,000,000.00. Interested firms shall submit two (2 ) copies of their 254's and 255's no later than close of business . The VA Medical Center, New Orleans has no current register all interested firms must submit the requested documents. The area of consideration is restructed to within a 120 mile radius of the New Orleans Metropolitan area. A/E section will be based on the professional services required as stated in numbered note 24.
