medical waste incineratro
We offer for sale a medical waste incinerator consisting of a Cleaver-Brooks Model CBV-385/19V/2-Second, with a 2 second secondary chamber; Anderson 2000, Inc. Venturi Scrubber Model VAY-71; and SP Industries Cart Dumper Model DD-2000RM. With the automatic feeder and cart dumper the operator(s ) need never handle contaminated waste. One added control is the Model 400 Datatest Continuous Emission Monitoring System including the Sample Conditioning Unit which brings the unit up to EPA compliance ( if necessary to a new installation ). In some venues this unit could possibly be considered to be a hazardous waste destrutor.
It was originally installed at a major hospital in the Gulf Coast of Texas in l991 and shut down in l994 because of NIMBY. The unit is in first class condition and has been maintained perfectly. The unit is a true two-step combustion ( pyrolsis ) with a main chamber that degrades waste at approximately 1,300 degrees Fahrenheit and a secondary chamber that completes the combustion of the gases at 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. The unit contains a cast iron hearth ( most other incinerators contain ordinary refractory hearths ) which slows burnout, slagging and air control problems. Low pressure, low-velocity combustion air is
brought in evenly throughout the hearth via a small orifices in the cast iron. In the C-B Model CBV-385 design, you get complete burnout, reduced particulate entrainment, a cooler hearth, and no slagging. The double all construction of the main chamber improves efficiency by preheating the combustion air. This unit consists of controlled air destructors which are particularly effective in managing Red Bag infectious hospital waste, type 6 and 4. It is capable of heavy duty burning at maximum temperatures and is designed to retain gaseous vapors in the secondary chamber for two seconds at temperature of 1800 degrees F. and above.
The unit is in place and available for inspection. The incinerator can be dismantled, mark / match, shipped and re-erected. We can perform the complete operation or you can purchase the unit as is - where is . The unit can be inspected as it is still at the original hospital location although it has been disconnected from its utilities.
