This car kit includes a sound sender and a DC / DC converter. The sound sender can transmit any audio sources in stereo through your FM receiver; including car and home use mini VCD / CD / MD / MP3 players. The maximum transmission range is about 12m, and can be used with a DC adaptor or 2 AAA size batteries.
