Sell Medical Waste Treatment
Problem definition :
Medical waste is defined as a mixture of infected material. The specific biological waste should be handled by a separate system but it may not be excluded that such waste, accidentally, can be part of the medical waste. In addition many other undesirable materials may be dumped in the system.
Medical waste has to be treated in a logistical system, separated from other waste. The Collection must be performed with special containers, which are then normally incinerated either inside the hospital or transported to e. G. A city incinerator. Before utilizing the normal city dump the waste must be decontaminated and syringes have to de destroyed.
Our solution :
The contaminated waste is placed in the top of an autoclave in which a heavy duty crusher is mounted. After the crushing the autoclave is steam heated to a temperature of 138 C/280 F and the pressure is increased to 3.8 bar. (138 C/280 F ) in combination with 3,8 bar are the characteristic values for saturated steam ). The full automatic process has a cycle time of 40 - 60 minutes ( Clave 1000 ) depending on the amount of waste. The end result are sterile fragments which may be disposed on a normal city dump. The original volume is decreased by approximately 80 % in a procedure that is both, safe and cost effective.
