These supercritical ginger oils were produced by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction and refining techniques from dried high-quality Zingiber officinale Rosc., clear oils with from light yellow to reddish orange color . Its main features are : fresh scent, strong characteristic fragrance and spice of original ginger and strong piquancy; free of organic solvent and any additives; high content of gingerols and gingerones (15-40%) ( GC ). They can be used as (1 ) food additive and health food; (2 ) essential oil for aromatherapy and cosmetic; (3 ) medicine intermediate.
