Our company introduce French castor hybrid CS-R6.181 and has achieved exiting effects after 3-year of national-wide trial planting experiments with remarkable advantages concerning seed nature, production and bean quality.

CSR6-181 belongs to the type with green stem and thorn, originally planted in Middle American continent. The height of individual plant ranges from 160 to 180 cm and main stems are 4 to 6 in number. The branches may be more if densely planted. Main stem produces first spike when it grows 7 to 9 euphylla. The main spike can be 50 to 70 cm long and produce initial seeds. Individual plant can produce over 12 spikes and 28 spikes at most. One hundred grains weight 30 to 35 gram and the production of individual plant averages 0.5 to 0.7 kilogram. The spike is taper in shape, densely distributed with long stem, so is easy to harvest. The seed likes egg in shape, and the seed shell is gray, bright coloring with stripped pattern. The seed-producing rate is over 80% and the oil length, 15% to 53%. It takes 35 days from seedling to budding, and 95 to 100 days from seedling to the maturity of the main spike. The bearing period covers 135 to 150 days, as one of slightly late mature type.
